My Profile.jpg

Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page. My name is Phacharaphorn (Phacha) Phanomvan.  I'm an economic historian, archaeologist, and heritage scholar. I literally live and breathe for two things:

(1) Ancient and Medieval Global History and Archaeology

(2) Trade and Development Economics.

Naturally, the combination above place me somewhere between development and heritage, and a lot of global history. This webpage was created to compile all my notes from research, findings, occasional readings, and all the random materials I run into during my quest to learn more about the world.

If you would like to access my CV, please  contact me via my email

What is an econo-archaeologist?

We're academic mutants! Well, something along that line, but let's just say people like us work in both economics and archaeology.  Some people call us ancient economic historians, except we also work with archaeological evidence rather than just historical texts. I am also interested in Global History, particularly the dynamics between different regions in Asia.

Aside from all things academic, I am also a passionate food and culture enthusiast. Being a TCK means I am highly exposed to different cultures. You can never stop learning about culture! You'll find some of my blog content on those topics.
